Wight Optometrists has been at the forefront of visual care for 50 years - consistently maintaining excellence in all forms of eye care. Our optometry practice in West Auckland includes two examination rooms, a retinal camera, an automated field screener and an own on-site workshop. Wight Optometrists has seen frames change over the years from a few very functional styles to fashion accessories that function well and also look stunning.

Wight Optometrists was established in 1962 by Michael Wight and for nearly 20 years it was the only practice in Auckland west of New Lynn. Michael Wight was the sole owner of Wight Optometrists for 40 years until 2002 and since 2002 it has been owned by Darryl Eastabrook. Wight Optometrists started as a small one room practice in Garden Place in Henderson, moved after a few years onto Great North Road and in 1985 moved upstairs where it is currently situated today.
